Guided tours of the Nachtigallstollen take place several times a day and are a highlight of the visit, even for children aged 6 and above. In the playground, young visitors can climb a pirate mast, shimmy down a climbing rope, balance on a beam, slide down a slide or test their steadiness on a swing boat.
Children and young people up to the age of 17 have free admission to the museum.
The Colliery Safari takes place on the second Saturday of every month. Accompanied by nature guide Birgit Ehses, children (aged 6 and above) and interested adults can go on a discovery tour through the local countryside around the Nachtigall colliery.
Cost: 5 Euro per person, including museum admission.
